New Year’s Beauty Resolutions

New Years Beauty Resolutions

It’s almost the end of 2015 and that means trading in our poor habits for improved ones which we’ll hopefully be able to stick to. Here’s a look at a few beauty resolutions for more radiant skin and silky locks in the next year.

Wear A Vitamin C Serum & Sunscreen Daily

Vitamin C serum is a powerful antioxidant that can decrease brown spots, brighten skin and enhance your sunscreen’s effectiveness. Best Vit C Serum reports Skinceuticals CE Ferulic to be one of the most potent serums. For optimum results always apply a sunscreen with SPF of at least 15 every time you go outdoors since incremental sun exposure may lead to increased signs of aging including wrinkles and fine lines. Several clients have been sending me Vitamin C Serums to try and I have been using liberally. Which ever one you pick for your beauty resolution, apply thick and often.

Upgrade Your Blowout

Is your hair looking frizzy and static no matter what shampoo or products you’re using? Believe it or not, the problem may be your hair dryer. Contrary to popular belief, not all hair dryers are created equal. If you’re using a decade old blow dryer chances are you may be missing out on the latest high tech features including tourmaline and negative ions which leave your hair smooth and super shiny. Beauty resolution #2…upgrade the hair dryer.

According to Shop Hair Dryers, the T3 is reported to leave hair even healthier versus air drying. Other top performing dryers include the Centrix Q-Zone, well known for it’s ultra quiet motor and the Supersolano, a favorite with many stylists. Upgrade your dryer for shinier, healthier locks in 2016.

Wash Your Face Every Night

Beauty resolution #3 – Commit to washing your face every night for 2016. Every night. It’s not just the pore clogging makeup you have to worry about. According to a study conducted by the Journal of Investigative Dermatology, tiny pollutant particles can actually penetrate the skin and increase discoloration. One of the best ways to eradicate all signs of dirt, grime and pollution is to use a facial cleansing brush like the Clarisonic or the more affordable Olay Pro-X nightly.

Drink More Water

We all know it’s important to drink 8 glasses of water for skin and overall health benefits but it can be difficult to remember to drink enough water throughout the work day. Jacqueline C, beauty editor at Best Beauty Ratings recommends carrying a Brita Filter water bottle with you. Since it comes with a built-in filter you don’t have to spend money buying individual water bottles which can add up. Beauty resolutions #4 is more water, less problems.

Banish Unwanted Hair Once & For All

Shaving and waxing only gets rid of hair temporarily and in some cases leads to even thicker regrowth. Make the next year (and subsequent years thereafter) hair free with laser hair removal. Find My Home Laser reports that home laser hair removals utilizing diode laser technology, like the Tria 4x, are just as effective as professional treatments without the high cost.
