Talktochef.com for questions on cooking

We are finally moved into our new home and my brand new home office – complete with kids in Montessori schools – is at 60% completion with desk and rudimentary computer setup complete! Big things are coming, more complete blog postings and a new complimentary business helping other moms get on their feet blogging. Very exciting times around here.

I was recently contacted by a company with a new concept to go through and help find issues and to test their new website offering, TalkToChef.com. More details in the video below, but to give you the jest, TalkToChef.com is a aggregate website that brings together real, professional chefs and foodies. Their iPhone app allows you to find local chefs to hire and the website goes a step further; further than anything offered on the internet right now.

If you need a recipe for tonight’s dinner – you Google it, no problem. But what happens when you are unsure of something the recipe calls for? Wondering if you can replace one ingredient for another? Now what do you do? That is where TalkToChef.com fills a gap. Simply put, you can log in at any time and ask a chef…an actual person on video conference…your question for FREE. Well almost free. It is customary if you are happy with the help to tip the chef after the call and rate them on service.
